So my window is down and won't go up. Money is tight so I can't afford a motor. Instead I'd just like the window to stay up until then. I pull up but it feels locked. Is there any way to get the window back in its closed position?

Your not going to get the window up unless you can get the motor to run or you disconnect the window glass from the regulator and pin the glass somehow, which I don't recommend.

You sure the motor is bad? You have power and ground at the window motor connector?

Well that is unfortunate.

It's more of a guess that the motor is bad. I'm a super newb at car repair. Assuming the motor isn't bad, would there be a cheaper alternative to remedy this?

You need to find someone that can use a test light or volt meter to check for power and ground at the window motor's connector to verify it is indeed bad. If power and ground is missing to the motor, you can run an electrical bypass and get the motor to roll up the window. If power and ground is there, sometimes you can smack the motor housing with a screwdriver handle and get it to run. If that doesn't work, your going to have to replace the motor or pin the glass somehow.
