Question From captndon7 on 1981 924 turbo Porsche

I have a 1981 924 turbo Porsche the head has blown 3 times I want to sell it as is. I live on the island of Kauai I can`t get a offer above $500.00 the tires and rims are worth more then that . How can I get a decent price for it. Don.

Response From Tom Greenleaf Top Rated Answer

You may find that Hemmings Motor News is a good resource for a car like that. They have a lot of world wide exposure and people are used to shipping cars even if just for parts or whatever. I think you'll find some info at

Good luck,

>>noticed it has one spark when i turn the key to crank, and it has one spark when I let off the key from the crank mode.<< I don't work on European vehicles, but that is classic symptoms of a faulty ignition control module.
Just a guess.

Question From snakebob on 1974 PORSCHE 911S FUEL LINE ROUTE

Edit | Quote | Reply HELP!! I RECENTLY ACQUIRED MY 911S AND FOUND IT TO HAVE HAD A FIRE UNDER THE HOOD WHERE THE FUEL LINES COME OUT OF THE FRAME/BODY IN THE REAR. I HAVE FOUND THREE LINES/HOSES THAT HAVE BEEN MELTED AND I DONT KNOW WHICH ONES GO WHERE. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE??

Response From Loren Champlain Sr

snakebob; I checked my database and came up with nothing. You could check with your local library. They should have manuals (Motors, Mitchell, Chilton, ect.) that you can find the information you need. In most cases, they'll let you copy the pages that you need.

Response From snakebob

thank you for responding to my thread. i think that would be a good idea or maybe i'll just order the manual. i think i'll probably need it just in case it has other problems! i don't live in town and it would be inconvenient to keep having to drive the 25 miles into town. thanks again!

Response From Tom Greenleaf Top Rated Answer

In 1974 manuals would be paper books may be avail on web for a price. Ebay or another might help with paper books.

Not sure you are going to find just what you want. If just three lines in question one to fuel the injectors or carb, one for return extra fuel and one to a carbon canister for evap emissions. You could about blow air thru which one goes where and than that is the end of this problem for now,
