Question From RickHudson on Merc ML wiper motor

I'm trying to replace a wiper motor (with racking) on a mercedes ML, but can't get hold of one second hand. Anyone know if the wiper motor from another model would suit? Cheers.

Response From nickwarner Top Rated Answer

salvage yards have a parts interchange database. Best bet would be to call one. They would know for sure

Response From Tom Greenleaf

What is the year and full model of this?

Question From camaro6079 on Windshield wiper motor

My windshield wipers only go 1 speed and it is a delay speed would it be the wiper motor or the switch on the steering wheel? 1992 chev. Camaro rs 305 motor

Response From Hammer Time Top Rated Answer

Could be neither. Could be the delay board mounted on the motor. Some testing needs to be done following q wiring diqagram.

Question From rafiq on wiper motor keep running in off position.

1990 mercury sable, the wiper motor won't go off in "off" position.Trouble started when the voltage regulator went bad and the voltage raised to very high. The switch assembly was replaced with no success. How to fix this. please also indicate the the location of falty part.

Response From Todd Norton Top Rated Answer

Hi Rafiq
do all the other positions on the switch work properly? high , low , intermittent, washer ect...
any other work done recently on your vehicle ?
try applying a temporary ground to the body of the wiper motor or at mounting bolt location using a fused jumper wire if available, wiper motors are notorious for poor grounds .....hope this helps .........Todd

Question From rlewczyk on wiper motor

05 ford ranger 2 door, 2.3 liter. wiper blades will not return to neutral position when wiper is turned off. delay wipers do not work but regular speed and fast work. is it the wiper motor or the switch

Response From Discretesignals Top Rated Answer

Do you mean the wipers won't park and when you turn off the wipers they stop where they are at?

Response From rlewczyk

yes that is what i mean. when i turn them off the stop right away or they may park at the bottom of windshield like they are suppose to. so do i replace wiper motor or switch?

Response From Discretesignals

Did you want an edumacated guess or do you want to know how to diagnose the problem to find the culprit? It appears the wiper switch is functioning and the wiper run/park and high/low relays are working along with the smart junction box. There is a switch inside the wiper motor that is used to change the circuit configuration between high/low and delay/park. The switch inside the motor could be the culprit if the switch is stuck in the high/low circuit configuration.

Question From Guest on '55 Pontiac wiper motor

On a mission for my boss to find out where the vacuum hose goes to as it comes out of the wiper motor!

Can you help?

Thanks in advance

Response From Loren Champlain Sr Top Rated Answer

It connects to the intake manifold. Requires full manifold vacuum. Should be 1/4" port. Unless he is wanting to keep it bone-stock, you can buy replacement electric motors to convert them.

Response From Guest

Thanks a bunch... That's what I needed!
If he has more questions I'll be a askin'!

Have a great day!
