  • If vehicle is equipped with an auto trans, it is recommended the cooling hose retainers be replaced when replacing the radiator (order 2 of retainer #6842411 separately if needed). Hose restrictions or an out-of-spec pressure cap can cause the pressure to exceed the radiator's designed limit, leading to damage of the radiator or the engine, so ALWAYS install a new pressure cap and check hoses! Some radiator designs may include small "cuts" on the side plates to make the radiators more vibration resistant.
