Question From roy13 on Water inside Peugeot 406 door.

I have water slopping around inside the drivers door of my 406.
Anyone know of a drainage plug?

Response From Hammer Time

Most doors already have slits at the bottom. Yours may be clogged up with something.
You can always drill a small hole in the bottom. Just make sure you are on the outside of the weatherstripping.

Response From Tom Greenleaf

? I've only seen that (those slits HT mentioned) plug up from both debris and or broken glass bits from a replacement that wasn't vacuum out or much more rust than you think already shredding off inside.

Take the panel off if you want to save this door and really take a look, grease things that should be, clean it out as best you can. If rusted scrape off what you can and I'd oil it if you plan to keep that door for long. A maybe that it's had body work from a used door that wasn't so great to begin with?

Response From Hammer Time

No grease any more. Most of these regulators are wires and pulleys now.

Question From Guest on Peugeot 404 1970 Help please!

Peugeot 404 1970 I wanna sell it, however I got no idea how much I should want. The car is in an excellent condition, I mean really excellent. Does any one have any idea how much I should want?
Thank you all in advance!!

Kindest Regards,

D

The end all to valuations is what a willing buyer and a willing seller can agree on. A good marketplace for antique cars is www.hemmingsmotornews.com (or close to that) and they reach a world market.

It will matter where the car is, any rare options, L or R hand drive and the actual mileage or Km on the vehicle. Also is it original or a restoration. Originals fetch better money.

If you want I'll move this thread to antique car talk - just ask or another may do that,

Peugeot 106 Window washer

Question From Guest on Peugeot 106 Window washer

Can anyone help? I have a peugeot 106 and when I pull the lever for the window wash there is no sound from the pump. The wipers activate as normal but no water comes out. I've checked the fuses and they're fine

Response From way2old Top Rated Answer

Go to the pump and check for current when the switch is activated. An inexpensive test light is a good tool to invest in. If the light loghts up when the switch is activated, replace the pump motor.

Response From Guest

i have a simualr problem. when i pull the stick forward for the windscreen washer the front wipers operate as normal but fluid is sent to the back jets instead of the front. The switch for the rear washer operates as expected. Any suggestions?
