I have 2003 mercury mountaineer. I think my torque converter fliud is low? is there a way to bring it back up to level with out droping the trans? It does not have a fill tube?

The torque converter doesn't have it's own fluid. It shares the same trans fluid as the rest of the transmission.
It is not however easy to check that. It requires some special tools

THANKS FOR THE INFO. I TOOK A SECOND LOOK. THIS WHAT I SEE. THE TORQUE CONVERTER IS LOW OF FLUID. BUT WHEN I OPENED THE FLUID LEVEL PLUG THE FLUID POURED OUT. IS IT PASSITBLE THAT THE FILTER IS kLUGED SO ALL THE FLUID IS IN THE TRANNY.

I don't know where you are getting your ideas from but no, that's not likely. Why are you blaming fluid anyway? What is it doing.?

There is a metal nose between the block and tranny housing. Like a fan bade hitting the sides. But not all the time? When at idle it seems to go away. For the most part. There is also a leak there.

Forget the oil idea. That sounds more like loose converter bolts or a cracked flywheel.

I will check it in the morning. I will take off the cover between the block and tranny and take a look. But why did the fluid come out from the level check plug. When i open it. I did't add any. When it's at level it stop coming out rigth. ??

Don't be concerned with the oil. You were just checking it wrong.

You may not be able to see enough of the flywheel to see any cracks because it happens up near the center but you can at least check for loose bolts. If you find any, you can assume the flywheel holes have been elongated and it will have to be changed.
