strut question

Question From redheadace on strut question

I have a 1997 Geo Prism and had the front struts replaced a few months ago. At the time, the mechanic told me that the rear bushing of the left front control arm is bad. He said I would have to replace the entire control arm to fix the problem. I haven't been able to afford to get it in yet. My question is, is this a safety issue at all?

Thanks.

Response From Tom Greenleaf

Very likely - YES!

Frozen bolt in bushings

Question From Bakulakorn on Frozen bolt in bushings

I have bolts frozen into the rear control arm bushings of our Geo Tracker. I can't get the control arm off as the front bushing is the same way as the rear. Any ideas on the best way to get them out and possibly still use the stock bushing?

Response From Hammer Time

You're going to need an acetylene torch and a whole lot of experience and you still may do some damage.

Response From nickwarner Top Rated Answer

And there is no reusing the bushing after that.
