 Subject: Spark plug location on a 2000 Chevy Cavalier Z24

Please help me find the location of where the spark plugs are located on a 2000 Chevy Cavalier Z24. I purchased new Bosch Platinum plugs with tools to do this myself seeing that when the vehicle was servised the location advised me that this service was not required. After looking in owners manual it gives no more that 100,000mi and I am currently at 87,000mi at stop and go locations. Please help me seeing that I have at least purchased 33.00 in stuff to do this myself. And I have searched top to bottom and can't find the location where to replace them. Help immediately. ok its a very dumb spot but it is located almost under the motor between the firewall and the motor youll see 3 coils on a plate

I am sure you found them by now, but if not, open hood. See that alumiunm top of your motor? well, see them thick black wires right under the crome top of motor, the ones that seem to go into the motor? pull on them...they will pop off the spark plugs.... best I can explain...hope it helps

do you have the LD9 engine, the 2.4L ?? if so your plugs underneath the thing that says 2.4L TWIN CAM.. i believe there are 6 10mm bolts or 13 mm bolts holding it in. use a 4" ext. on your rachet to reach your plugs!

I have a 97 cavalier and need to know where the EGR valve is located so my son can replace it. The engine light has been on for 2 months and the valve was cleaned about 4 months ago. It was fine for about a month and now the light is on again.

I have a 2000 cavalier that the engine is dying as it goes down the road. It makes no noise just stops. Sometimes it will resart for a while, some times it won't. I replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs and wires. What should I look for next?

my car wont start its turning over but wont acually start. there is spark so i know its not the plugs. but i was just wondering if it is the fuel filter i know i need a new one. i have phoned mechanics and they said it was the fuel pump and it will cost me from $500-$600 to fix and other people told me it is the filter. so my question is would my fuel filter cause my car not to start?

i have a 94 caviler and when i drive it lately,when the temp gage gets to the middle of scale and i slow down to a stop the car studders and stalls i put it in park and it fires right up,but when i put it in d it stalls again if i wait 5 min it runs fine for a while till it does it again,if i get warning of it and floor it and pump the gas it straiteds out for a while,what could it be,stumped in taunton

I know it sounds stupid but I do try to fix some car stuff myself but my father, husband and I could not figure out how to get to the headlight to fix it. It almost seems like to you have to take apart most of the front of the car and even moving the battery doesn't seem to help. We tried to pull from the front of the light to see if it is supposed to pop out from the front but it wouldn't budge. I have a 2002 Chevy Cavalier. Please help me!

My 96' cavalier's transmission went out. It lost Reverse, so we changed it out. I believe the transmission # was 134 and we replace it with #138. Well, before that I experienced when coming down a hill while applying the brakes the car started to kind of bog out, wanting to die out, but keep the idle when I threw it neutral then proceeded in drive. Well, I'm experience the same problem, however, when I attempt to put the car in neutral, it dies. The car will start, but when I put it into gear it dies right away. It will continue to do that until maybe 20-30 minutes after, then I can put it in gear and proceed but it hesitates on take off, and when I need to slow down, it boggs. Like it's hesitating to go into low gear. Someone told me to check the valve body, however would that mean dropping the trans again or is there a way to check it with the transmission in place. I'm in much needed help. It's a very good car, just that part is hanging me out to dry. Please help me.
