Can anyone provide me with an answer as to why my J30T sways to the left and right when I go over bumps? I am not sure if is just me not being used to the rear wheel drive 4 wheel steering or if their is a problem. Also the car does not have good acceleration from 0-20km but above 20 it is ok. have inherited 1990 nissan maxima. under the car on the left side there is a louvered channel that comes from the engine compartment and oil is leaking out of the louvers down the driver side of the car. I have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler that has been doing some odd things. Upon driving to work the other day all my gauges went haywire, the battery cap burst right off and the battery gauge reads low like it's not holding a charge. The jeep seems like it's getting too much juice. could the altanator be the culprit and be draining my battery. Also I noticed that the A/C Motor is clicking ON/OFF constantly. Any suggestions I will take into consideration as I may be working on this myself. I just spent over $500.00 on this vehicle for a radiator and Tune up due to it not starting! Thanks

yeah, so i have a 91 Mazda 626 DX (not a hatchback) and here in michigan it's really damn cold. and recently, my car died. what will happen is i'll turn the key, and step on the clutch and it will start, rise to 3000 rpm then immediately drop to zero and shut off, if while it is at 3grand rpms i feather the gas i can keep it running an extra 5 seconds or so, but as soon as i let off the clutch it dies. so far the only thing i can think of is the fuel pump, if this is the case does anyone know of a website where i can find a cheap electric fuel pump?

Sounds like it got very flooded for some reason. Spark plugs that have been soaked with gas frequently will NOT work. They should just be replaced or take out each one and propane torch till glowing hot to dry it out. Air dry is not enough.
I think is a waste of time to take just four plugs out and not just put in four new ones.
Just a question - why did you post this under "lube job"???? No one is going to see this post. Start a new one at the bottom of the whole list from opening page and you'll get more response. Webmaster is working on changing the format a bit as this happens all the time, Good luck, Tom Greenleaf

Longest line first,and on to shortest last. which in that truck might be the left rear wheel cyl as it may have brake lines go down right side of truck. Then other rear, and on to the front which is a separate system from the back. Keep master cylinder full while you do this as if it goes emppty you have start over again. Ok here is what I was doing .I have a 1990 chevy s-10 pickup 2.5 4 cyclinder .I was changing the valve cover gasket and I either hit a vacum line or I messed something up with the throttle pulley linkage .when I start the truck it runs so fast in park that I have to shut it down.I checked all the vacum lines I did have one come loose but I put it back where it came loose . The throttle linkage has some type of spring coil system to it and I dont know if its in that or not .Been trying to find a site where I can get a picture of this engine under the hood to see if I have something out of place . If quiet enough where you are you can hear the fuel pump buzz/pressure built up and stop with key in just run position. If you hear nothing check the related fuses and relays. See if there is a fuel safety shut down with a reset which should be in your owner's manual as to if and what.
From there if you can (if all has failed) see if power is getting to the pump with a simple 12V test light. Good luck, Tom Greenleaf

compressor & rad. fans not coming on when a/c button is pushed.Has plenty of freon.Swapped relays under hood no help.Found little black box lower left corner behind glove box.Has three wires that plug in bottom & a speaker like wire out the top.One wire on bottom gets hot with key one gets ground when a/c button is pushed.Wire out top is broke loose from somewhere.Can anyone tell me where this wire goes or if it could cause my problem

There is some form of lever that pushes the throw out bearing against the pressure plate that is either broken or has fallen out of place. Unfortunately you probably have to remove the transmission to fix this - bummer.

If this get through - you probably need a puller for your A/C clutch, worth renting it as you may not want to buy a puller set for just this job. I don't recall you saying what type of vehicle this is but the kit should cover most all of them. A few don't need a puller. Good luck, Tom Greenleaf

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement gear shift plate (automatic gear shift sits on this and is decorative - seen from inside vehicle, for my 2004 Nissan Maxima SL? I don't know the exact name, but this has been scratched pretty badly and needs replacement. If not, where can I find matching paint. It is sort of a brushed silver color.

Hi,
Is it common for the ABS brake light to come on and stay on when there isn't a major problem? I have gotten conflicting info from different sources and not sure where to turn. The brakes have been checked by a local mechnic who says they are fine. Dealer says there are more than 1 thing wrong with the brake system. The mechnic says I don't need the ABS brake system. The car will operate fine with the brake system as is. I would be concerned if the problem with the ABS sys. caused other problems with the car because I didn't get the dealer to repair. Any thoughts or comments Please. I am female, this is my son's car and have been taken advantage of on other occasions so I am very leary about anyone doing repairs. Thanks

When I opened the hood I noticed a hose that was not going to anything and another hose that was cracked to the point that you could see the copper or metal pipe inside of it. The one that was cracked goes to the "carbon canister" and the other appears to go to the EGRC soleinoid valve or somewhere close. I looked at the picture under the hood. I could not find an opening where the valve is for the soleinoid hose to hook up to. Or if it even goes there. The other end of the hose appears to be going down to the transmission. The end of the hose (that's not hooked up) looks like an upside down J except that it's squared instead of rounded. Please help.

I have been having problems with the clutch on my 95 GMC sieera my uncle bought it brand new and I bought it from him he put two clutches in it and I have put two clutches in it going on the third one. the truck has 205,000 miles but alot of it is highway miles the truck runs great and has been well maintained my question to you is have you ever heard or not resurfaceing the flywheel on that truck and if the past clutches that were done they did resurface the flywheel would that be burning out clutches? and haw do you bleed a clutch properly?

Could it be the water pump, if so, where is it located on the motor? Is it the unit behind the thermostat?

Hi i just put a fuel pump and filter in a 91 sunbird, it kept blowing fuses but doesnt now.
However it wont start, untill you put gas down the carb. it trys to start but then it acts like its not getting any gas just air.i also put a fuel pump relay switch on it to . can you help me
