Just a guess - but if you have an 8 wire plug at the back from the factory you should only need the correct adapter. If you are installing a unit under dash it must have come with lots of instructions. The trailer maker should have the adapter you need, or if you bought the trailer new that dealer should.
I pulled a 7,000 boat for years with just surge brakes and it was fine. Never owned a trailer with electric brakes. If you bought the trailer used I would think any place that deals in large trailered items should know what you need to do.

In general: You may have a few of these! To find them follow the exhaust from a cool engine and look for spark plug looking things with a wire. You may have one even after a muffler so check.
These things can be very sticky to get out and there are some special tools to help and some are in tough locations. some places rent tools for this type thing.
While doing your search check that the wires to
them are not burned or unplugged. If so you may have a false indication of a bad sensor.

93 chevy van, broken ignition switch....
My friend can barely afford to feed himself, let alone pay $300 to have a locksmith fix this- is there any way he can "hotwire" ?

I have a 1999 ford escort zx2. I believe the a/c relay is bad, however I can't find it. The dealer says it is under the air filter housing, or mounted on the radiator backet on the driver side. Checked both of those locations as well as under the dash and under the hood main fuse box. I still can't find it, "PLEASE HELP".
