Subject: 88 camaro problems with the fuel gauge IP: Logged
Message: I have an 88 camaro and I've been having problems with the fuel gauge. Whenever I'm at a stop the gauge reads fine, but when I am moving the needle goes everywhere. I know it's normal for it move a little but this will go up past full and then down empty just going everywhere. I don't really know exactly what would cause this i know there are many possibilities. If anybody can help me out with this please let me know.
Thanks,
Jon

Message: Different?? Does this happen all the time at any level of fuel? If the sender is at fault I would think it would be worse around half a tank.
Let us know if you find out. I also think there's a device at the dash that slows the needle but never saw one go that wild. Good luck, Tom Greenleaf
