I recently replaced my alternator and battery. Recently my car would not turn over as if my battery was dead. I jumped it and it ran for about 30 sec and then died. Would you suggest replacing the battery cables before I take the time to pull the alternator?

Check the voltage on the battery. The new one may be dead from something draining it. An alternator will NOT charge a dead battery. Shut off donor car with cables still on and see if your alt is putting out anything. There are also failure rates for even new alts and batteries. Good luck, Tom Greenleaf
