My 1989 Ford F150 6 cyl won't start when the outside temp drops below 32*F. It turns over fine but I think it's not getting fuel. I think there must be frozen water in the line somewhere. I replaced the inline fuel filter. Still no start. There's a black plastic evaporation? canister between the fuel tank and fuel pump. Could it have water in it? When the outside temp climbs above 32*F for a few hours the truck starts fine. Thanks for any advise you can provide.

If you have never used a water remover it's a possibility. Use an isopropyl based alcohol dry gas. If it helps put another in with next fill. No need to overdo it but it won't do much while a line is frozen.

The charcoal canister is to recover fuel vapor from gas tank and not let raw gas vapor into air. It should not be your problem. Good luck, Tom Greenleaf
